It’s a holiday, so I have time to post more than once, and I am overdue for a 5K post. I have given up and restarted so many many times. I am still working on it though. Now, of course it’s hot but I am trying to get wogs done in the morning. I love following the railroad right-of-way because it is not paved. Then I go through the City Park, which has some dirt paths too.
I am still doing the step aerobics class on Tues/Thursday before dinner. It is an incredible aerobic workout. In fact, I have to watch my heart rate, because it can go over the target rate. I ordered a stepper and DVD so I can do a third session at home over the weekend.
The 5K is coming up Aug 10…I will be there one way or the other. Even if I still don’t run the whole thing, I am getting stronger and healthier. To run the whole thing may still be an unrealistic goal for me, but I sure have benefited from the process.
Next Sunday/Monday I will be in Denver again visiting my son, and I will do a 5K around the lake near him…see where I am at then.
