I have penciled in a route for my 6 week trip (July 14-Aug 27, 2014). I will be pulling my pop-up camper and stopping here and there. It might seem early to create my route; however, I have tons of research ahead in terms of where to camp en route. I want to get out in the boonies, which is why I am installing solar for the camper.
Route:
- I 25 from Wheatland, WY to Casper, WY
- Hwy US-26 West to Tetons
- Continue on US 26 to Idaho Falls, ID
- Hwy 20, then 93 north, to Missoula, MT
- I-90 west, to Coeur D’Alene, ID
- Hwy 95 north to Bonner’s Ferry ID
- Hwy 2 east to Shelby, MT
- I-15 to south to Idaho Falls, MT
- From there I may go back through Jackson, WY-to Casper-to Wheatland or go further south to I-80 and then east.
So, if you have been to any of these places and have suggestions, please let me know. Definite camping stops include near Salmon, ID and along Flathead Lake, MT
