Mother Goose

After I heard that the camper part takes 3 weeks to arrive at the dealer, I reorganized the van and set out like the old days! Tango and I went out for one night and came home this afternoon. We head out again tomorrow afternoon to camp for about 4 nights, in the van.

I decided to keep myself busy by trying some new things. I wanted to inflate the boat but forgot the pump. I had more luck experimenting with dutch oven cooking. I researched it quite a bit and found it to be easy once I finally tried it (biscuits, beans/veggies). Who needs an oven! I will get photos next time of the whole process.

Last night and again this morning a local fisherman came by. We chatted on and off, while he caught small mouth bass.Very unusual to see anyone in the places where I go, but then again, I go usually on M/T and few people are out then. I enjoyed having company!

Last night was in the 30s, and Tango hogged the blankets as usual. Looking forward to the bigger bed in the camper.

Other highlights of the trip:

Sitting along the water’s edge in my low chair, reading and listing to the water–a soft lapping sound.

New bird for life list: Blue-winged Teal (no photo)
