I had a minister meeting in Greely, CO this morning. It’s about a two-hour drive from Wheatland. I did different back roads each way. Photos are not great –besides my lack of skill, the lighting was off all day due to storms.
Shortly after I crossed the Colorado border I stopped at one of those Points of Interest:
Yep, the Majestic Plains alright!
However, just beyond that rolling hill is this:
Long’s Peak, Rocky Mtn National Park
On the way home, I went into the Wyoming back country to see how green it is thanks to all the snow. I was happy I did:
Chugwater, the only town between Wheatland and Cheyenne (coming in from the east):
I saw many birds, but it is impossible to photograph them while driving. By the time I pull over they are long gone. I saw:
- Kestrel
- Prairie Falcon
- Lark Bunting
- Meadowlark
- and the usual robins and sparrows
