I left Sunday evening with the popup camper, headed for Glendo State Park, about 30 miles north.
campsite, showing solar panel between camper and van and bird feeder on picnic table- only great-tailed grackles came by
soooooo green. planning to get same photo in September to compare
The highlight was testing out my inflatable boat. It worked good but I need to inflate it more. Tango’s doggie life vest was too big and went back to Amazon. So, this time he had to run along the shoreline to keep me in sight. Tango was not happy at all. Next time! A size medium neoprene dog life vest is on the UPS truck!.
The campground was empty. Boaters came and went all day, starting at the crack of dawn. They were noisy coming and going, but seemed overall like a nice bunch. Nothing could ruin the beautiful days in the 80s and the nights in the 40s. Perfect!

I may have spotted a new bird. A small bluish bird filtted past me as I was leaving. Otherwise, just the usual early summer birds.
Cool evenings
Wildflower walk
Cottontail-Tango chased them all around the area
Submerged cottonwood trees – high water levels along reservoirs are slowly killing often native cottonwoods.
Feeling spunky
Selfie showing how I look after several days camping a mess, but happy
