Tango and I walked to the lake again for our evening swim, when all the kids were back in their campsites. Tango never gets in, but loves to run around down there.
Tango looking for something to do other than swim
Empty beach
A view from the beach:
Sky is getting smoky again
An awwwwww moment:
The squirrels here are small and loud!
On the way back, we were scouting for bears and found a clump of Grizzly fur snagged on a bush
I started out the day going to a big fundraising yard sale. After, breakfast out: home-cooked corned beef hash. Yard sale items:
Front row: camera bag,10-pound weight, brand new LL Bean washed canvas shoes/slides, anti-itch cream. Back row: magnifying mirror, new healthy back purse (same olive-green as shoes.
A woman in the woods always need anti-itch cream, and she can never have too many purses and outdoor shoes (up to an even dozen now). I have been using my 8-pound weight and am ready for 10 pounds now. Really needed the camera bag, put a nasty scratch on the view finder screen while letting it toss around the van. Total expenditure for these fine items: $7. Normally I would quibble over prices but this was a fundraiser for local veterans. Gave them a $10, asked them to keep the change.
Also today: lots of writing/work. Sitting now by the fire having a V-8 lime Bloody Mary. I made it extra-large so I am sure to get my 5 servings of veggies : ).
I paid for two more nights here, may stay even longer. Found a little piece of paradise!
