I can say that this potential new home is not warmer than Wheatland! In fact, the newest blast of arctic air will hit soon. Light snow is expected. Already, Tango’s water bowl had a crust of ice this morning.
I am certain this blast of arctic fluff and fury caused the mass exodus of lingering migratory birds. They know the forecast long before the weather computers.
I brought many pairs of boots, several warm parkas and a tangle of scarves. I have a pile of long underwear, fleece tops, and wool socks. Had I not been prepared, the van and camper hold other winter weather things. I am always psyched up and prepped for winter.
Heading out this morning with a gal to another small town-a recyling/repurposing artist is having an open house and there is a thrift store down the street. Some of the folks here read my blog and are eager to show me the used stuff. Ahhh- the insider information. A good sign.
