Every year I enjoy reading the Best American series. This includes Best American Essays, Best American Short Stories, Best American Travel Writing, Best American Nature Writing, and many more. I read them slowly during the year, switching back and forth. However, they are about $10 each for Kindle versions, so last year I decided to skip reading the 2013 editions. I planned to pick them up used on Amazon at a later time.
Wow–what a surprise yesterday. I discovered that all the 2013 Best American books are free through Kindle Unlimited (you can borrow ten books at a time for an unlimited time). So now, a new plan: read the previous year for free. By then, the next year will be free (hopefully).
