Blue Moon is snug and safe in a storage place. I need to keep the battery charged so I dug out the solar panel and hooked it up. I checked with the front office guy to make sure it was okay and he said no problem, and also “we have lots of sun here”. Really? I am in the Pacific Northwest, so I was confused by his statement. Yet, the sun shone all day in a clear blue sky.
This morning I woke up to evidence of overnight rain. Wet sidewalks. Wet grass on my flip-flop clad toes as I took Tango on his “wake-up” walk. Now, from the third-floor balcony, I see lovely layers of clouds, like a painting. The base layer is gray tones. The painter added classic fluffy rain clouds next and finished with a layer of wispy cotton flung here and there.
So what is it with storage rooms? I have the bare minimum of stuff, but yesterday I became tired of dragging things around in the van. I rented a small 5 x 5 storage closet near Blue Moon and offloaded the duffles of sewing stuff, books, excess camping stuff, linens, the countless winter coats and boots. Crazy!! I, who have almost nothing, have a storage room. The moral of the story–get rid of more. This is going to be tough because I am down to stuff I really care about. Goodbye fabric? Books?? Boots??? Winter gear???? Sob. But Jane, you are not in ND anymore.
That has been my morning. What else will go? Maybe DIL will allow a long-term loan of my Kitchen Aid??? I will get photos of the next purge.
