Always in motion is the future.
……YODA
This morning the temperature is -10 degrees. We sit under a blanket of dry snow that will linger on the ground for sometime. A few months ago the sub-zero temps were invigorating. Before that, in October, the first snowfall was thrilling to watch. Now, we are in deep winter. February. Cold and snow have lost their charm.
I won’t dwell too much on the February doldrums because within them is a silver lining. We are only six weeks away from the official first day of spring. The weather does not become magically perfect on those days. However, the nighttime temperatures start to rise; the signal that the early camping season is back. But, it will come in its own time. I am learning to never hope for time to pass. As I get older, I see that time marches on relentlessly and wishing for tomorrow is a waste of today.
Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time, for that’s the stuff life is made of.
